Midweek Links: Flash Fiction, Detective Pikachu, 2018 Anime First Impressions

Another week, another chance to discuss random links or articles I found around the web. I’d like to start off by thanking each and every reader for being willing to engage in my silly roundup and I hope you all find it interesting. If not? I get it. Also, this is fairly anime/manga heavy this week – you were warned.

On to the links!

This week, let’s talk about Twitter. I’m going to recommend you follow the following accounts because, frankly, I enjoy them and hope you do too!

  • Anime Feminist – Anime Feminist offers a very unique and needed perspective on anime, viewing anime from a feminist perspective. The team of people at Anime Feminist are looking at anime from, quite honestly, a very different viewpoint than I normally do which has helped me see little things I did not pick up on before. Check them out and give them a follow to see their newest articles/commentary.
  • Curiously Dead Cat – This is a kind, interesting, anime Doctor. No, as in a literal PhD in literary studies who’s also a Dad and big anime fan. He provides interesting commentary on anime from that perspective. Also, he’s WOEFULLY underfollowed. So, check him out!

This week, we’ll end with the very catchy “Best Friends” by Sofi Tukker featuring NERVO, The Knocks, and Alisa Ueno. Check it out.
